Soil report

History and evolution of the vineyard

Arbin was a hamlet belonging to Montmélian until the 18th century, it was called "Pagus arbinensis". They were separated administratively in 1779. Contrary to the vineyard of Montmélian, the development of the vineyard of Arbin has only increased in renown thanks to its typical grape variety the Mondeuse. The AOC was created in 1973.

Terroirs

Leaning against the Savoyarde hillside, the vineyard of Arbin is south-east facing and has a soil composed of limestone scree coming from the Massif des Bauges. Here the Mondeuse finds its terroir of predilection.
